Any questions?
If you have a question that you would like to ask the medical students at Lancaster University, then please post a comment below and we’ll answer as soon as we can.
I was wondering if it is absolutely necessary to come to interview in person if, say, the distance to travel was extremely long, extremely costly and generally extremely awkward; but, could easily do a video-link interview. I'm currently in Japan and, should I be lucky enough to get an interview, am wondering if I have any alternatives. Thank you!
Apologies for the late reply, I did not check this until just now! You may already have e-mailed the medical school about this, but if you haven't, my advice would be to speak to them directly about yo ur situation, as I don't think any of us students are in a position to answer that. You can find the contact details on the website: http://www.lancs.ac.uk/shm/med/contact_us/
All the best for your med school applications, and come back if you have any more queries!
You do not need Maths as your 3rd A-level subject. We require both Biology and Chemistry at A-level but the 3rd subject can be any academic subject, including Spanish.
Hi! I'm holding an offer to study Medicine at Lancaster Uni and would like to know how does the Uni help you in terms of getting into specialty traning later on? How prepared do you feel? Are there opportunities to get involved in medical research during your studies? Thanks in advance! Maria
I am strongly considering applying to Lancaster Uni but with regards to my personal statement, i'm not quite sure whether it meets the "non-academic criteria". How could i go about checking this before i apply via UCAS?
Also, do Lancaster value the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification)? Finally, is it possible to get an online prospectus for the medicine course?
